In our modern world our relationship with food has become very complex.
Mostly we eat to fuel our bodies, other times we eat for instant gratification or to celebrate and be sociable, and sometimes we eat because we want comfort and food is what's available at the time to provide it or its the only thing that feels right in that moment.
So what is mindful eating?
Mindful eating simply means eating with awareness. It's about taking the time to connect with your food, being present in the whole experience, from the preparation to the eating of it.
It means allocating time to prepare and enjoy eating your meal without rushing or multitasking at the same time, focusing on each mouthful. Mindful eating is a way of saying to yourself: “I respect my body enough to be mindful of what I eat and how I eat it.”
Think of it as a form of meditation. It means choosing to be present with your food and the way you eat it and connecting to your 5 senses to really enjoy it - sight, smell, touch, sound and taste.
My clients find that eating mindfully helps to:-
● Sense intuitively when they are satisfied
● Gain way more satisfaction from eating
● Develop a new relationship with food
● Discover new tastes and textures
● Improve digestion (less gas and bloating)
● Discover which foods don't feel so good in their body
● Connect with why they eat when they aren't hungry
How will I know if it’s time for me to learn to eat mindfully?

● There are some foods that don't feel good after you've eaten them and you want to know which

● You feel addicted to certain foods
